Rome: Trastevere

After lunch with Mario we headed to Tratevere to wander the neighborhood and to look for the Almost Corner Bookshop because Megan needed Harry Potter books 3 and 4. Now that she's finally decided to read them (okay, we did push her a little to read them when she was younger and since she can be contrary she decided she didn't want to read them because we wanted her to read them!) she is literally inhaling them but we couldn't locate books 3 and 4 in the house prior to leaving for Rome. We have them somewhere but maybe they ended up in storage...Anyway, the Almost Corner Bookshop is an English-language bookstore with quite a nice selection. Best of all, they had just received copies of all the Harry Potter series that very morning and Megan was overjoyed. We gamely plunked down a ridiculous amount of euros for those two paperbacks. Then I had the misfortune of having to lug one of them in my purse for the rest of the trip BUT it did keep Megan quiet and entertained when meals in restaurants stretched a bit long!

The bridge we crossed to get to Tratevere.

I can't believe I didn't take a photo of the bookshop!
