Caspana

So, we usually use Lonely Planet tour books when we travel because they have useful information and sometimes quirky places you can't find in any other tourist guides.

This trip was no different.

Although we did learn that in the Atacama, when LP puts information in a box mentioning some places that are "worth a trip" that no one has ever mentioned to you...well, you are in for an adventure!

Wait...is that...?

Really, just walking by the side of the road?

Yes!
Llama llama llama!

This was some of the better road on our little adventure.

There was a sign pointing off to Caspana...which we followed and then...nothing...

Yep, that was a bouncy bit of road.

Thanks to Jeff's expert navigation (GPS was of no use at this point) and excellent driving skills we did eventually find Caspana.

From all appearances we were the only tourists in town.

The older terraced dwellings are located above the newer buildings.
