Fires

That isn't fog.

It is smoke from wildfires which were, thankfully, not dangerously close to Santiago.

If you went outside it smelled as if you were standing next to a bonfire.
Visibility was seriously impacted...it was just a wall of white.
We couldn't see the Andes from our house and usually we have a decent view.

 

The air quality has been bad this summer...we're in a drought and no rain means nothing to wash away the pollution.
