At the very moment that we were enjoying the Polish spring and picking up our new puppy, Ennis, we heard about the terrible tragedy described in the last post. Perhaps the new life celebrated by spring rituals and symbolized by this little member of our family will help keep things in perspective.

You may get a malware warning for this site, but it is safe. The breeder, Benita, treats her dogs like family and we found a happy and healthy Ennis playing with his brother, Edek. We had met Ennis' sire, Ernest Hemingway and mother, Habi on a previous trip and were charmed with the dogs and Benita's obvious love for these guys. After a five hour car trip home, Ennis is settling in, and doing well.

Megan has been busy at spring break playing with the Polish kids across the street, Krzysiek and Asia (pronounced Ksh-ih-shek and Asha), and started off the break with the great fun that is Easter in Poland (or anywhere if you celebrate it).
Is it a deranged Easter bunny or Megan in a photo that she will regret when she is a teenager?

Yes, the Polish use space age materials in their dye for eggs. Megan has managed to get it all over her! This is not Paas egg dye...don't drink it.
