So, Congress finally did something...they confirmed the new Ambassador to Chile: Mike Hammer.
He's been waiting since June 2013.
He and his family caught a ride down with Vice-President Biden and Dr. Biden who were coming on an official visit for the inauguration of the new Chilean President.
The Vice-President conducted the swearing-in ceremony which was pretty darn cool.

Vice-President Biden had all the kids come up onstage.
Megan is the third from the left in the mass of kids.
Vice-President Biden sat with the kids while our new Ambassador made his remarks.
