We survived the rest of the summer...even with a teachers' strike at Nido which delayed the start of the school year by 2 weeks.
Eventually Megan made if off to her first day of second semester.
Excuse the bad photo -- my flash didn't work and she was hurrying to the bus so no time to fiddle with it.
Ennis made some new friends in the neighborhood...
He and this bunny have a friendship that includes hanging out and pressing noses together then rushing back and forth in front of the gate.
Ennis really really really wants to get close to this cat and the cat is not amused.
Usually he is on the other side of the fence but one night he'd ventured out...I had to pick up Ennis and carry him away because he was locked on and refused to leave.
I have been on a tomato kick...luckily the ones here in Chile are delicious.
It's that time of year again...I feel bad for the Nido teams since they are playing against young ladies who have been together since pre-K and who take volleyball very seriously. Some of the girls on the Nido team have never played before. Sigh. At least Megan isn't the smallest on the team this year!
