Cranberries

For the last three years I had to hunt for cranberries to make cranberry sauce for the Consulate Thanksgiving dinner (for 60 people!)

I usually ended up buying them from a little old lady wrapped in several shawls at one of the outdoor markets. Then I'd spend an hour picking through them to get rid of bits of branches, etc.

 

I actually gasped when I saw these at the store.

Once home I realized that they weren't going to disappear from the shelves, and I might have jumped the gun a little...
