Fun around Medford

So, while Barbara was visiting her sister in LA, Megan and I went out and about.  We visited Emigrant Lake State Park, near Ashland and hit the water slides and the beach.  Beautiful scenery here.



The next day, we arranged to do a float trip down the Rogue River with an outfitter. The first great sight was Hellmouth Canyon.

 Our guide, Wayd introduced us to the joys of inflatable kayaking.  Unfortunately, I am too big to properly counterbalance Megan and so off we went with me in an awkward half-reclining position.  Thank goodness there are no pictures of the subsequent near capsizing event on the Class 1 rapids that we navigated.
