In the area right around Hadrian's Library and the Roman Agora, old Athens has a number of Byzantine chapels like this one.
The entry to Hadrian's Library was pretty much all that remained of it. Megan was disappointed that there were no books here.
But the Roman Agora had quite a few of its columns and walls remaining as well as some Byzantine and Ottoman structures.
This frieze is from the 1900 year old 
This is a mosque that was built in the15th century and was later used for storage.
After looking at "more old stones" we stopped in Plaka at the charming Platanos Taverna for some lunch.
A walk through Monastiraki yielded flea markets and antique furniture stores.
Luckily Barbara was able to find a new camera battery before the end of the day...
