We went to Egypt.
To Sharm el-Sheikh to be exact.
On an all-inclusive tour -- a first for us.
Although it confirmed we aren't really "tour" people...
The resort was nice -- food good, most of the staff friendly and helpful, etc.
I rested in the shade and read. A lot.
Megan and Jeff were a bit more active.
The view from our room.
The weather forecast which was the same every single day.
We saw some clouds on our last full day.
Resort grounds.
Resort grounds -- I loved the covered walkways with the flowers growing on top.
My view of pool #2.
My view of pool #4.
My view of the beach.
View of the beach from one of the jetties over the reef.
Megan and sand.
Jeff received open water certification.
His instructor, Ahmed, is behind him.
The swan produced for Megan by all the towel guys.
Megan learned to snorkel -- here she is with Miss Sara from the dive center.
November is the beginning of "Russian Season" in Sharm or so we were told.
They were EVERYWHERE.
Here they are playing Bocce on the beach.
They were also rather brutal in the morning water polo game at Pool #2.
After a couple of days they all looked like this gentleman...very pink!
What Sharm looks like away from the beach.
Jeff on a camel.
Our view (Megan and I rode together) on our trek to the Bedouin camp.
Sunset
Megan in front of 'our' camel -- who was exceedingly well-behaved compared to some of the others.
We went on a glass bottomed boat ride -- the reef is at the bottom of the photo.
Something Megan had never seen before...a pull-top can!
