One HUGE perk to being in Krakow is that we are close to the
Beskids.

In an hour (give or take depending on traffic) we can be at
Spytkowice.
There are a few places closer and many farther away. We're gonna investigate as many as possible.

Lots of other people felt that New Year's Eve was a good day to go skiing.

The lift line was not crazy when we arrived.

Here's the bunny slope.
Megan warmed up here while waiting for her lesson to start.

They start 'em early in Poland.
This dad was on the bunny slope with an older child -- one who was walking!
Saw the dad whizzing down the main slope later in the day. Baby still firmly placed in the backpack and having a blast.

Megan headed up the hill.

And down she goes!

One of the classes.

After her lesson, Megan and Jeff headed back up the main slope for more practice.

Here's the main slope.

The hotel.

Valley shot #1.
It has been above freezing so the real snow is gone...but more is coming.

Valley shot #2.

Lots of cars with GB plates in the parking lot. That is a long way to travel to get some skiing in.
