Ennis and Megan

We've been to the vet three times this week.
First visit for allergies (he's on medicine & doing much better.)
Second visit because he developed a serious limp.
Third visit to check to see if limp was improving.

He goes back on Wednesday for x-rays and tests because the vet thinks it highly likely he's ruptured his cruciate ligament (ACL in a human) and may need surgery. I'm not so worried about the surgery as much as the recovery period which calls for several weeks of crate rest.

Poor Ennis.

Poor us.

(He's not allowed walkies of longer than 10 minutes, no running, jumping, etc. at the moment. He's BORED. And whining. A lot.)

Then yesterday (Saturday) after the happy news from the vet (*sarcasm*) Megan slipped coming down the stairs, missed about the last 4 steps and landed her full body weight on her knee. She and Jeff spent the afternoon at urgent care down the street. Luckily no major damage -- just seriously bruised and strained ligament. She's hobbling around.
