Every year Megan's school has a big event, Kermess, where all the different countries have booths selling traditional food dishes, there's a parade of nations, games, etc. for the kids.
All the money raised goes to charity -- this year 50% of the proceeds will go to groups helping in the Philippines following the destructive typhoon.
We went early and staked out a table in the shade.
Jeff worked in the USA booth for an hour charming all the ladies.
I planted myself at the table and doled out money to Megan for tickets as was necessary.

The USA booth was offering BBQ, corn bread, mint juleps and American candy.
The pad Thai was very popular.
The Chile booth had meat on a stick or rather an impressive metal skewer with beef, onions, peppers and a chorizo at the end.
This was one of many inflatables.
They take them seriously here...one was a pirate ship and almost 2 storeys high.
I am not kidding.
Parade of nations...or at least a couple of them.
