Shopping!

Today some lovely ladies from the Embassy took me shopping.

We went to La Vega.

Here you can find fruits, veg, spices, meat, nuts, grains, paper products, flowers and just about anything else you might want/need.

This cracked me up.

They really had pickled everything here.

This is one of the streets around the market which is enormous.

It was insane with trucks when we arrived at about 9:20am.

Lettuces, chard and spinach are amazing here in Chile.

Sadly there is no kale.

This fact makes me sad...

I had to take this photo with Megan for scale -- the celery here is gigantic.

Kind of like the Chernobyl cabbages in Poland...
